video was made in October 2000 at the Grenoble City Hall during the
"Bordeaux, Drancy, Auschwitz, one way" exhibition about the
Papon trial, which shows articles published in Le Monde and lists of names
written by hand of dead deported persons. Using
interviews, mimics and comments, the film is mainly concerned with
reactions of visitors and tries to describe the impact of the exhibition.
Gradualy, every intervention reveals the statement each one maintains
between History and current events, guiltiness and reponsibility, french
identity and foreigners, all this with respect to one's personnel
experience.
